Following Jesus, Not Religion
As a follower of Jesus, I say with love, do not worship and pray to statues/pictures and idols of Jesus and Mary. This goes against the first two commandments. Jesus in not on the cross. He is Risen! He should not be permanently crucified. He never gave his literal flesh and blood to the disciples to eat and drink. At the last supper which was Passover Seder, (a traditional Jewish meal celebrating the Israelite's' liberation from slavery) Jesus broke the bread, representing his broken body and poured the wine, representing his blood poured out for you. He said do this in remembrance of me. Why does the Catholic church canonize dead people, praying to them and accrediting miracles to them rather than to God our Father? Confession is good for the soul but Catholic Priests do not have any God given authority to forgive sin. Only Jesus has the power to forgive us our trespasses.
"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."-John 14:6.
Then they asked him, “Where is your father?” “You do not know me or my Father,” Jesus replied. “If you knew me, you would know my Father also.” -John 8:19
For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.-1 Timothy 2:5
AMEN
